VENICE-DAILY-LIFE.COM/ is a contemporary Venice based platform. The platform broadcast content at a worldwide scale. Our Venice performance brings the international world of thoughts together. It features over 140 leading studio and more than 111 people from five continents living and working in Venice. Many high-quality exhibitions take place concurrently in and around the Lagoon, creating a region-worldwide year. In our Venetian performance, leading studios show significant works by masters of modern and contemporary thoughts, as well as the new generation of emerging ideas.
VENICE-DAILY-LIFE.COM/ is an art research residency lead by architect Grégoire Guex-Crosier. The aim of the residence is to creat connexion with the locals inhabitants of the contemporary Venice. To feed the collections of Venetian components with a constant flow of new artworks, our plateform invite every year artists from all over the world to developp an artwork in the frame of a collaborative process. Sviluppato in collaborazione con le imprese e gli istituti di ricerca locali, questa residenza architettonica intitolata “Venice daily life” si interessa ai dispositivi contemporanei d’abitazione, alle infrastrutture logistiche e ai numerosi flussi di oggetti che animano la laguna di Venezia a scala territoriale.
Condotta al netto di pregiudizi critici, questa ricerca studia ed elenca gli usi contemporanei e i flussi degli oggetti della quotidianità - dal pomodoro di Sant’Erasmo ai detriti di cantiere del Tronchetto - attraverso un’accumulazione scientifica di informazioni “data-base”, lo sviluppo di una rete pluridisciplinare “network” per implementare una piattaforma collaborativa “interface”.
